Prior to the merger, Eric owned and operated Blueridge General, Inc.; having ascended the ranks from Project Manager/Estimator. Eric's experience in commercial construction spans nearly 20 years and includes all types of commercial construction. Currently, Eric serves on Chesapeake's Board of Building Code Appeals, is a state board member for the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) Virginia Chapter, and serves on the ABC Leadership Committee (former chairman). Eric lives in Chesapeake with his wife and four children.
LEONARD PROVOST, JR.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Leonard has a 27-year record of successfully overseeing all phases of multi-million dollar construction projects for both government and private-sector clients. His past roles have included Estimator, Sr. Project Manager and Director of Business Development. Leonard has served on the local leadership board of AGC – Virginia and is also a certified Virginia RLD and holds a Cost Estimating certification from Old Dominion University College of Engineering. Leonard lives in Suffolk with his wife and two children.
ROBERT C. HUDSON, III
Robert, a graduate of Old Dominion University's Engineering Technology Program, has over 10 years project management experience on large commercial construction projects. His experience includes both design-bid-build projects and design-build projects. Robert, also a LEED Accredited Professional, serves on the Board of Building Code Appeals for the City of Chesapeake and is actively involved with the Associated Builders and Contractors for the Hampton Roads Region. Robert lives in Chesapeake with his daughter.
Kim had joined Blueridge in 2015 and served as the Finance Manager and was also responsible for Office Management and Human Resources. Her construction experience started under a large REIT based outside of Chicago. Kim is well versed in many aspects of Construction Management. Her role with Heartland has morphed into a more Administrative role as Administration Manager overseeing day to day operations of the office and is the liaison between Project Management and Accounting. She is a graduate of Old Dominion University and currently resides in Virginia Beach with her two and four-legged children.
Timothy “TJ” was born and raised in Western NY. A graduate of SUNY Brockport University, TJ moved to Hampton Roads in 2015. TJ's experience includes project management in commercial and multi-family construction settings. As a project manager, TJ was responsible for the successful completion of several difficult school projects with condensed schedules. In 2018, TJ transitioned to the role of Estimator for Heartland, applying his field experiences and knowledge in an effective way on each Heartland bid. TJ now lives in Virginia Beach with his wife, son and their boxer Jemma.
DIRECTOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Sandy joined Heartland in 2017, as Director of Business Development, and actively manages and leads Heartland‘s business development and marketing efforts to position HCI for project opportunities that align with the core values and business strategy of the organization. Sandy has a BS in Marketing from George Mason University and is an active member of HRACRE, Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC), and Associated General Contractors (AGC). Sandy lives in Suffolk, Virginia with her husband and is proud of the diverse careers and accomplishments of her four daughters.
